Mental health is a topic that has become increasingly more prevalent in recent years, and for good reason. Millions of people around the world struggle with various mental health issues, and yet the topic is still not discussed as openly as it should be. This is why it is so important to raise awareness and support those who are struggling. As someone who has personally struggled with mental health for many years, I know firsthand how important this is.
In 2001, I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, and ADHD. For years, I tried different medications and therapy, but eventually gave up on it all. However, in the Spring of 2022, I hit a mental low that I couldn't ignore any longer. I knew I needed help, and I was instructed to keep myself busy as a way to stave off my depression.
That's when I started The Bunny Lass, a business that creates handmade wax melts. It may seem like a small thing, but for me, it was a way to wake up every day and have a purpose. I was able to channel my creativity into something productive and meaningful, and it brought a smile to my face to know that my creations brought joy to others as well.
It wasn't easy at first. It took me a full month before I could bring myself to get up every day, but eventually, it became a little bit easier. I started making wax melts again, and day by day, it became easier to do. This is why mental health is so important to me. It's not just about getting through the tough times, but about finding purpose and joy in life.
The Bunny Lass supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because we know how important it is to raise awareness and support those who are struggling with mental health issues. It's a cause that is close to our hearts, and we are proud to support it.
If you're struggling with mental health issues, please know that you are not alone. There are resources and support available to you, and it's important to take care of yourself. And if you know someone who is struggling, please reach out and offer your support. It may not seem like much, but sometimes, just a simple gesture can make all the difference. Let's work together to raise awareness and support mental health, so that everyone can find purpose, joy, and hope in their lives.
